Holy crap….this is outta control! I wish I was there to see it…..I can’t blame them really…..

Ben, it’s about increasing the tuition fees by triple the amount in order to pay for Britian’s record deficit.

It’s all a bit crazy over there….huge budget cuts across various sectors….including government. There are lots of work strikes going on including subway workers and firefighters….I was there in September and I encountered 2 subway strikes…..

I’m never sure, as a person of color, how I feel about other workers of color taking the brunt of white protests: shills for the status quo or besieged workers? After all, when British higher ed talks about access, they’re not talking about race, they’re talking about class. Having taught at Kele’s kinda-alma-mater, I know from the inside.
