Thanks for posting this. I’ve loved Andy Warhol for a long time but knew little of Basquiat. Fascinating and tragic life. Ive learned and retained more (useful) information from your blog than some university courses I’ve taken. No joke. Thanks again! :D

I agree: the criticism of ther collaboration, especially at the time, was harsher than deserved. While both artists were skilled at self promotion, I could never quite shake the notion that Warhol was the one who stood to benefit the most by polishing his slightly shop worn rep with the partnership.
