Kele, all this talk about the recent goings on with the band breaks my heart… Needless to say, I’ve been a loyal fan for years. I have loved every song, every lyric, and every guitar riff. Your evocative lyricism inspired me to feel and think in ways I never had before. Every song aided me in putting the most difficult situations of my life thus far into perspective. Your passion, your innovative drive, and undeniable depth are things of such unbridled beauty. To be honest, if it weren’t for the discovery of your work with Bloc Party, I would not have survived my teenage years. That is no exaggeration. Russell inspired me to learn the guitar, and now I’ve been playing and composing my own pieces. I was given something to do with my life. Don’t get the wrong impression. I’m not hear simply to kiss your ass. I just want you to know that you are /the/ keystone that holds Bloc Party together. Without you, it will never be the same.
